it works fine and I thank you. I would like to use the other rear camera lenses though.
I found the gcam project that through xml files adds the ability to use three of the four rear lenses. Here is the only one of the versions that allows the trick:
Gcam7.3.018_Greatness.Build2.1.1.apk Link
and the configuration file
fnd_redminote8_miui11.xml Link
that you put in the main memory in
../GCam/Configs7/
then you open the app you double click right of the shutter button and load the xml.
if it does not start, install the "Gcam Services Provider" app from f-droid Link
Now I was wondering if it's possible to modify your app to allow you to choose which lens to use.
