As noted by Ben, the global alignment does not work in the presence of assemblies. This PR together with https://github.com/root-project/root/pull/15905 fixes this deficiency.
An example was added to convert a globally misaligned geometry to Geant4: $ python examples/AlignDet/scripts/AlephTPC.py -batch -events 5 -alignments examples/AlignDet/compact/AlephTPC_alignment.xml
