Background

By definition sphn:hasMeasurementMethod is procedure used to measure an amount, quantity, size, level, extent, or magnitude, resulting in an qualitative or quantitative value. However, sphn:Measurement (and the subclasses that are related to sphn:hasMeasurementMethod in SPHN) do not have a property for a Qualitative value, but only for Quantitative.

Change Detail

The suggested change is to add a property for sphn:Measurement, that will allow entering Qualitative value code. This may be the same property that is used in sphn:LabResult - sphn:hasQualitativeResultCode

Why is this change needed?

In MUG and UM data, there are data points suitable for the Measurement class have value sets of Yes/No regarding Presence:

The change will allow describing a presence of an observable entity, such as the ones listed.

What is the impact if this change isn't made?

All entities of type Measurement (and its subclasses) will have the property sphn:hasQualitativeResultCode. It may have implications on the rules regarding this property.

sphn:hasQualitativeResultCode needs to be extended with a new domain sphn:Measurement.
