Brightness keeps flashing / tracking lost when bright #198

When I start tracking, the brightness on the preview image keeps oscillating between really bright (completely white) to rather dark around once every 2 seconds. Tracking (the pink dots) only seems to work while the brightness is down. OpenTrack also stops receiving input when the picture is bright.

The Webcam is 1080p with 30fps and works fine with other programs like Discord. I have tried different brightness settings in AITrack, but nothing works.

which webcam are you using? is the camera using autozoom which will vary the focal length/aperture which affects the brightness? if zoom is enabled you may need to disable it since there are issues with face tracking using autozoom. is there sufficient overhead lighting or are you using ambient lighting, side lighting or backlighting? I find the best results is overhead lighting just in front of the face even during daytime.
