Not using labels results in problems (see here), hence I put it back.

Always, keep in the labels, although these are unimportant, as the alternative is to fix untested code maintained by someone else.

OTOH, gcaer got GCAE to run without these problems, so it is just the GCAE error message that I do not understand.
