I have two situations over the course of the past six months where Artifice ores have generated hand-over-fist. I wrote off the first as a fluke, but it has just happened again.
The first time it was during a BFSR playtest in the 1.4x series; I don't have the exact configuration any more. :( At fairly shallow depths, ender ore seemed to retroactively generated in and around my base. It was all under my feet, where it used to just be stone.
The second time is in BFSR 1.5.0.0, using RTG. I can't tell if this was dynamically-generated. Regardless, I have mined nearly a complete player's inventory out of a single vein starting around Y=56 and descending down to at least Y=32.
