Marie: In prototype 1 I liked that the map and chat were side by side. I think this would make it easier to see what is going on in the chat. I think prototype 2 is too busy and confusing. Having so many pop-ups I wasn’t sure what is important, what I should read, or which one I should look at. I also feel like I personally wouldn’t use this as a desktop application because usually I am looking for food and places to eat when I am already out and about or on the go. In the last prototype, I was confused by “User still talks to chatbot, who responds with location of places to user.” I’m not exactly sure what is meant by this. Does the chatbot respond with directions or places the user should go? Either way, I personally feel like a chatbot may be more confusing or complicated. It may be simpler to have this visually displayed.
Jessica: I was confused on paper prototype 3 and 4. I understand that you would like to have your app be compatible with both mobile and desktop platforms through paper prototypes 1 and 2, but the way you presented it seems like the same user will be remembered on both platforms if they were to speak with the chat bot. Since different platforms implies the use of different devices, I don't know how you would be able to communicate the saved information and chat history if the user is not saved or registered.
Ruijia: I am confused by Alex's prototype. I don't think it is necessary to hover the chatting feature on the map, because the chatting bubbles may cover part of the map so the users may miss some information. Also the screen will seem cluttered. I like Sanjeev's interface more. It is okay to separate the chatting and the map. Also it is better to hide the information in the pins so it will give more space for the information on the map.
Team C6 (Team Chicas) Update (Serious headache on Friday)
I am confused by Sanjeev's prototype. It seems that the prototypes are fully explained. However, when the issue is going to the actual software. Too many words will overwhelm users and it is better to use symbol or graph to represent items in order to convey a clean and clear interface.
Team C4 (Team 7meer):
Khaled Ahmad: I was confused by how the map and the chat bot connect to each other. In your prototypes the map seemed to be the priority, then you can open up the chat, but what would you show on the map if you didn't talk to the chatbot first. I would recommend having the chatbot as a prioirty, then it opens up the map.
Ameer Muhtaseb: I was confused by whether or not the map was the main feature/page on the app or if the chat bot was the supposed to be the main feature.
Shreeman Hariharan: I was confused by the second prototype screen that shows the chat and map on the mobile version. This is because I was not sure how messages that are not related to any particular location would be shown on the screen. There should be a toggle feature so that either the chat or the map is shown at once, but the feature that shows particular messages related to a location should still be kept.
Belal Aboabdo: I am confused by the second prototype with the overlay on the map. I am not sure how the chat bot is incorporated in this or where the suggestions come from. Also the chat bot might not be the best solution in the occurrence that the suggested result is not chosen by the user.
