This could be PDF, word doc, plain text, or even markdown (which it would be nice to format as html first). These files would be treated like html files or URLs in that they would be for display only, and no attributes could be extracted.
plain text could be rendered in the browser pane in Theme Manager, but the others would need to launch an external viewer.
