Containerization / Packaging discussion #2

There have now been three 'packaging' discussions:

  1. Delivery via standard package managers such as homebrew, macports, deb and rpm packages.
  2. Singularity virtualization, see also related
  3. spack build

They all have their respective advantages and disadvantages and different target audiences. We should discuss on Friday which (if any) direction we want to take.
