Fixed by replacing /System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/vecLib.framework/Versions/A/libvDSP.dylib
with a dylib from 10.13.
Congratulations! Sorry I missed your email because I live in China and it's evening now. I thought it was caused by my graphics card because it is crappy :) However now it seems that FX/A series CPU is to blame because Ryzen series works fine.
After the latest macOS Catalina update (10.15.5) audio is delayed with the replaced libvDSP.dylib
, and it still crashes on the default one :/
Am posting to report experiencing very similar issues to rrroyal here with nearly identical crash report. Has to be something to do with FX?

Describe the bug I'm experiencing com.apple.audio.IOThread.client crashes when trying to:
Crashed Thread
0, 4, or 13 - with same com.apple.audio.IOThread.client
, etc.YouTube in Safari will play with sound fine until I try to pause or change position (say I want to click at 0:36 in the video) - will get in a kind of loop 'A problem repeatedly occured with Safari' error. This error does not happen in Chrome however - YouTube playback in Chrome works fine.

Same issue here. Definitely an issue with FX processors, but I think the GPU has something to do with it as well.
I get "Crashed Thread: 47 com.apple.audio.IOThread.client" when:
In Chrome I can do all the things I couldn't do in Safari with no problems. I have to specify however, and this is very important, when I had a macOS KVM with GPU PassThrough the problem still occurred, however as soon as I removed the Audio Device from my GPU and only left the Display, the problem disappeared. I do not know how I can do this in OpenCore.
-Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P rev 2.x -AMD FX-8300 -RX 580 -16GB DDR3 RAM -ADATA SU650 480GB SSD
-OpenCore 0.6.3 -Catalina 10.15.7
I have the same issues. I guess that a big problem is audio on amd systems.

This fixes for me. Unfortunately this will not work on Big Sur, since Apple removed all dynamic link libraries from filesystem. Any one has any idea to patch this in Big Sur?

Se corrigió reemplazando
/System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/vecLib.framework/Versions/A/libvDSP.dylib
