backporting kata #35

Are there any plans to backport kata, as far as i could see there are no PR's toward

@jlarrew seems you are the only guy around who knows stuff, regarding my question, do you think it makes sense to try to get these changes back to the original projects so SEV will work out of the box at some point?

If not what are the reasons.
