The h2o package hasn't been working for me, because Java Runtime Environment isn't installed. I have not been able to figure out how to integrate JRE with RStudio server, as it seems to be only available for download on a local system. Here is a potentially relevant walk-through.
Implementing h2o could save us a lot of time during model optimization, while also running a much more thorough hypergrid search of parameter settings.
