Abridge gfs01 variable names to <31 characters #7

Hi @nora6591 , I like NDA proposed variable names more. To conform to their structure, can we do this change? It would make my work easier and neater.

Thank you Nora. Please deploy it and regenerate outputs. Maybe it is time you privately sent me instructions for running it by myself. I anticipate a few more name changes coming from me to comply with NDA structures.
