source engine export smd tools problem #98

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.load add-on smd tools
2.try to export a model using smd tools
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i expect it to export my model. but it says "scene unconfigured. see SOURCE 
ENGINE EXPORT panel in SCENE PROPERTIES.

What version of Blender and the SMD Tools are you using? On what operating
system? blender vs. 2.68 smd tools vs. 1.8.5

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried to find the "scene properties" panel and i cant even find that. I also 
tried to uninstall + reinstall, same problem occured.

Very strange, I can see from your screenshot that Scene Properties is missing! 
This is a problem with Blender, not the tools.

i loaded a previous save on the same project, and the scene button was on it. 
so i started working from that one again so it worked, but if you know how i 
made the scene button disappear, let me know so i dont do it and ruin another 
project, thanks

The way I fixed this was by scrolling down (in the scene menu)to "Source Engine 
Export" and setting up an export path, and clicking on SMD. I haven't had a 
problem since.
