That is a lot of work... if you are sure about this, just go ahead.

I think I know how to write awk scripts for zhwp, but not for those additional tables.

I can let something parse it into a stupid tree, and treat those text in tr with bold as needed stuffs, and then perform regex-based selection for Chinese chars. The rest may be used as comments.
