Hacktoberfest 2021 - Questions #35

This is a standing issue for a hackathon planned to contribute to this repository lead by @lianplass .

I’m working on getting things set up for Hacktoberfest and I noticed that there was a requirement for participating repos much have a “Hacktoberfest” topic. Can we go ahead and add that to the repo ahead of the event?

Is there any special spelling? Can the topic tag be temporary? I added the topic as quoted.

I don't think there is anything precluding us from removing the topic after Hacktoberfest is over. I did notice that in the new event guidelines there are a few additional temporary modifications to be made to the repo.

Just as a note for everyone, we are extending the Hackathon to the end of November. Check with @lianplass for details.
