empirical determination of readout_time as 3 ms based on adjusting rotation speed to not drop image frames. (Rotation speed is dependent on readout_time, among other things.) At 2.5 ms, dropped one frame, at 2 ms, dropped 6 frames. Probably, best value between 2.5 and 3 ms. Good to have some extra room.

Other factors are also important, such as incident beam intensity. These numbers are for PG3 camera in 8-bit setting.
