Routine maintenance (cleaning up the scanlog) issue
The make archive script now fails with line “code scanlog.xml” which does not work since code does not start on usaxscontrol. Therefore current script requires few minor manual steps which one needs to remember or find procedure for.
Colleague suggested to save copy of empty scanlog.xml as “template” and overwriting - from the script itself - the old one with the template to clean it up. Or deleting the old one and copying the template in the new one. Not sure what is easier. This way we do not need user interaction at all and therefore no need for staff training on procedure.
Now, we will run now in APril (and scanlog is clean now) and then ONLY in June, so we will run this at most once more - until we move to new location and get all setup and working there. Not sure if it makes it worth the effort. But, the same script might be usable in the future…
