A pearl millet module that is largely derived from sorghum and c4maize is being considered in PMF. A main advantage of incorporating millet into the sorghum/maize framework is that any scientific advancements in sorghum can benefit millet and vice versa. As the crops are quite similar, this potentially provides a wider range of validation testing in case new science is incorporated into the model.
