I cannot open APSIM (next gen) on MAC 2024/1/7374.0 #8602

What happened?

Hi, I am trying to download and install the APSIM on mac computer for the first time, I downloaded the latest one at that time (2024/1/7374.0, (attached image: APSIM), but I am confused if that one was the right one to download, they keep changing to new versions? every day, and it seems like a error report or something. Anyways, when I tried to install, mac warned me about the security (attached image:error), then I clicked "Open anyway" from security and privacy (attached image: open anyway), and then the app sort of starts to open but immediately crashes without opening any interface. What should I do? Please help/guide me. (P.S. I tried this in two mac computer, my personal one and another institutional one (brand new), and got same issue in both).

Hi @nepaljay18, This issue details what has worked for many to get ApsimX working. In short installing .NET6 seems to fix the issue. You can get it here.

Hi Julian/ric394, Yes, I could open APSIM after downloading and installing .NET6. It is the next generation, which is very different from previous versions I used, so I'm trying to learn it, any recorded videos or manual you'd recommend? But it seems to be running okay. @nepaljay18 I'm glad to hear that worked for you. For training resources the Apsim Youtube channel has videos that will help. There are also tutorials located here that may be of use as well.
