Prototype a starting/dashboard page

Create a portal homepage that has the following features. Not all will pan out but this is a chance to try things and discard them if no good...

• [ ] big search input like Google
• [ ] iconic species with thumbnail images, that scrolls left-right
• [ ] top-10 species with highest number of genome records (Koala)
• [ ] pie graph showing relative numbers of records for:
  • [ ] species groups
  • [ ] % linked to specimens records
  • [ ] % taxa with data (any data), and a breakdown by data type (whole genomic, mitogenomes, SNP, etc.)
  • [ ] % of EPBC species have data/no data
