Separate CRC-32 calculation into Rust library #179

Closed kirillt closed 2 years ago

kirillt commented 2 years ago

It's necessary to create tiny library in Rust and move function computeId from ResourceId.kt file into it.

Basic unit tests must be written in Rust to verify computeId function works correctly. Build procedure (GitHub Actions) must be adjusted if necessary.

This is precursor for #163

I am a current Rust student and would love to take the chance to add a small pretty gem to my profile. Thanks! 5) f3rno64 has applied to start work _(Funders only: approve worker | reject worker)_.

Hi, is like to perform this task as an intro to the Rust language. 6) sisco0 has been approved to start work.

The steps involved in delivering a failure-free working version of this library are enumerated next:

  1. Create an arklib folder under the root folder of the repository.
  2. Populate the new arklib folder with a cargo project for consistency and dependency maintenance.
  3. Create the compute_id function under the arklib project.
  4. Create a test case with an example binary large file (~10MB).
  5. Add a Github Actions hook for the cargo test --lib command.

Thank you GitCoin, but 0.005 BTC is $200, not $400.
