Transparent color is lost when applying filter #70

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Apply any grayscale filter to the attached file
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I have an Image with transparent sections. After applying a grayscale 
filter the transparent color is convertet to gray.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.7.0 on Vista 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.

Yes, alpha channel will be lost and there is nothing wrong with this. Grayscale 
images don't have alpha channel at all, so they can not be transparent at all.
