Support multiple rig/soundcard configurations

I suspect this is probably already on one of your lists, so +1 on this. Please let me know if this is the kind of thing you want.

In this use case an operator will be using the same portable computer with any one of multiple rig/soundcards: e.g. FT-991A (QRO), IC-705 (QRP) or a HT, depending on circumstances. At present switching rig/soundcards with RMS Express is painful and error prone. WSJT-X has this capability.

Would it be preferred to have a way to switch profiles live or would something akin to passing a specific configuration file on startup be okay?

I'd say both, I was thinking mostly in terms of switching rigs on a running app, but a command line switch would be very useful.
