The player only has one life right now, which feels like too little, especially in conjunction with all the other issues that will eventually be implemented. I think giving the player three lives before a true game over is a good happy medium.

I think this is a great idea! My thoughts for completing this is creating a variable to track the number of lives. Rather than the game ending, it will subtract a life instead unless the player only has 1 life.
