I got qlso a similar issue
*** The MPI_Attr_get() function was called after MPI_FINALIZE was invoked.
*** This is disallowed by the MPI standard.
*** Your MPI job will now abort.
[sd-25154:20123] Abort after MPI_FINALIZE completed successfully; not able to
guarantee that all other processes were killed!

This issue was updated by revision 6953bfd2228c.
register the singleton object that manipulate objects dealing with MPI so that
they are destroy when the environment is also deleted. We then get rid of the
messages from MPI complaining that MPI_Finalize() has been already called when
the objects are themselves being destroyed
