ADJUMANI ONLINE REMOTE REPAIR CAFE NOTE AND CONCEPT.

INTRODUCTION

Adjumani is one of the districts located in the westnile region,and known worldwide for its good hospitality, towards hosting refugees in Uganda. As the result rOg offers the above event through #ASKnet(Access to skills and knowledge for economic transformation) to cut down unemployment and create skill dependent youths who would in turn use the skills to put food on the table.

OBJECTIVES.

• To help fix devices of those in need and unable to pay repair fee.
• To instil skills among the refugee community and host community youths through hand on tool method.
• To create awareness about the advantages of practical skills in solving day by day problems.
• To promote online collaborations with people at distance.

TARGET GROUPS.

• Refugee community.
• Host community.
• Both gender.
• People with special needs.
• No age limit.

VENUE

Adjumani town ,central 1 village centre.

**Tools***	720000UGX /= 201,- USD	looks close to parts from the #ASKotec, might be a different list in reality, but good to go in terms of budget
**Materials***	185000UGX /= 51,-USD	add diodes/transistors, flip chart?
Event	800$	(>950$ was quite high), this needs to be discussed with the Hub and finance admin, 100$ for some hours per experts seems a lot, needs to be explained, is the remote aspect plannend in terms of available devices?

800$ can since its not a big repair cafe like the one in 2019,and besides that it runs for few hours.

950$ is not a must ,it was an estimate, but the little that can be provided can be economised and we excute the activity successfully.

Can the hubs also share their arrangements,with the participants as days are drawing closer! Both online and offline,

The arrangement for team list(experts) and support teams be I identified by hubs, Reason being,

• we could contribute in identifying the experts coz some of us have dealt with some and we know who is who and we are to do so by permission of the hub.
• Hubs are supposed to call for a meeting with track II participants to discuss the issues pertaining the upcoming activity.
• Hub administrators to give participants the updates of their arrangements,even though out side offices through, voice calls SMS,social platforms,even meeting physically if areas of operation are not distant.
• All am driving to is to avoid complaints over certain arrangements which might not suit all parties involved in activities.
• In collaboration,consultation should be considered a major tool towards skill development.

There is nothing hub is doing by selecting expertise, what we do was writing a letter to OPM office in the settlement for the event. I believe in the concept you have send the name of experts. However we trying our best to see this event happen. Stop being issues here and there, we are in difficulty time. I believe two you @chardso and kenyi have to set down should come up and gives responsibility ..who are on the board as experts and what problems he or she will handle on 16th

• How to handle the tools and materials → Toolkeeping Check-List
• How to handle the repairs → Expert Check-List
• How to handle the online reporting etc → Collaboration Check-List

→ all of these are to be considered then a prototype where we need proof of concept, so we will learn from the event on the 16th and improve, it is ok if not everything works out perfectly, from there we grow. :+1:
