Pagirinya Remote Repair Cafe

The receptionists

  2. Lulujoa Rebecca The two personels served the responsibility of welcoming and registering all the devices that were to be worked upon.

The repair Technicians

Table one: Radio Repair Table one was strictly meant for radio repairs and the technicians responsible were;

  1. Wafela Andrew
  2. Acidri Tairi

Table two: Phone repairs Table two was also strictly for phone repairs. And the table was strictly for phone repairs.

  1. Kenyi Jimmy Loku
  2. Ijjo Thomas William

Table three: Inverters, and solar lamp repairs Table three was also meant for inverters and solar repairs and gladly the protuccal was well observed. The technicians were;

  1. Emmanuel Iceku

    Tools Used During the Session

    • Soldering gun
    • Screw driver set
    • Voltage testers
    • Digital voltmeter
    • Magnifying lens
    • Wire cutters
    • Wire peelers

      Materials Used during the session.

    • Soldering wire
    • Switches
    • diodes
    • Transistors
    • Resistors
    • capacitors
    • wires

      Devices brought by the community for repair.

    • Fifteen(15) Phones
    • Two(2) Inverters
    • Seven(7) radios
    • Two(2) Solar lamps
    • Two(2) Power banks
    • One(1) Whoppers

      Fixed devices.

    • Eleven(11)phones The phones that were successfully repaired had problems like switch button not functioning, Network aerial problem, heating of the phones, fibres plucked off, burnt ic, and many more.
    • Two (2) Inverters The two inverters that were brought by the community were all successfully repaired as one hard problem with it's switch and the other was not.responding to current flow.
    • Six(6) Radios Out of the total radios brought by the community, Six of them were repaired from the following problems - Power button problem, Heating I.C, Burnt capacitor, Speaker line breakage, charging system and faulty volume.
    • Two(2) Solar lamps The two solar lamps that were brought for repair were all repaired successfully.
    • Two(2) Power banks The two power banks were also successfully repaired during the remote repair Cafe from problems of failure to store power, and failure of charging system.
    • One(1) Whopper The Whopper that was brought for repair was repaired successfully, as it had a problem of heating I.C .

      Devices that were Not Fixed

    • Four(4) Phones The four phones were not fixed because they needed spare parts of which we didn't have them.
    • One(1) Radio The one radio was also not fixed because it needed an I.C for it to function but we couldn't get any again during the session.

Conclusively,

Number of devices listed for repair were: 35( Thirty five) devices Number of participants were 53( Fifty Three) participants Number of community visitors were 30( Thirty ) visitors Number of stations were 5( Five ) stations Number of devices fixed were 24( Twenty four ) devices Number of devices not fixed were 11( Eleven ) devices Number of experts were 7( Seven ) Number of expert helpers were 4( four ) Documentation personels were 2 (two) And finally 1( One ) person was behind the camera.

Inverters,solar lamps were also handled by table one.it was actually the multipurpose table.

@gibertgibs @PyGamma @chardso would you be able to check the list above regarding what you think was prepared, would be interesting to know how well my checklist was and if something like this in general should be added to the guides

I have not seen camera repaired on the list.

However! They are communities members who came later during the session, due to time factor we haven't attend them and there asked weather we could have such lovely services again.

Yes, we start our off-line repairs by 10:00am, why as team leader I though wise to start early so that we can repair many devices rather then starting 3:00pm office time. By the time reaching at offical time we move in online although the network is not so challengeing to us on that day.

Ah nice, yes the documentation in general is good, though a Tools List would really help, including pictures or is the list complete? where is the kit now @PyGamma @gibertgibs ?
