this is my first ever contribution to a package, so that would be nice to be mentioned as contributor!
I also have some code looking at whether the timezone can be assigned if the time string has "TZID=" within it. Not sure I have quite got it to work reliably yet but may post it up if I can't fix it to see if others can.
