The following well-known artists are missing from artists.csv:

(I am not submitting this as a pull request because I don't know how to compute the "score" field).

They need to be trained into the Database first, or these Artists are useless if the Program doesn´t know them.

Stable Diffusion has already been trained on most of them, because they're in the LAION dataset.

I agree on the general principle, that there's no point adding an artist to artists.csv if the AI isn't already trained on them.

I notice certain artist aren't accesible by name, but by their most influential piece of work. That is the case for VideoGame artist, ex: "(by/in style of) Lineage II" => Kim Hyung-tae (the kpop singer is what the database show instead) "(by/in style of) Blade and Soul" => Juno Jeong

I was originally looking at the larger Kai on dataset, but lain- 400m definitely includes:

CLIP at least knows that Dan DeCarlo is a comic book artist. As a search term, Dan deCarlo doesn't find much in laion-400m that's relevant, but "Archie Comic", the work he's most famous for, finds lots of examples.

"辰巳 ヨシヒロ" (yoshihiro tatsumi) will find manga images in Laion-400m, although none are actually by him. In stable diffusion, "yoshihiro taste I" gives a manga art style that's sort of what you would expect.
