Full page zoom in for mask drawing
Visualizer for aspect ratio and padding area, either done with rectangular overlays or a separate magnifier window
Semi-transparent masks
Polygonal and shape selection tools

Proposed workflow

Click a button on the inpainting page to zoom in on the image and enter advanced mode, with tool selection and aspect ratio visualizer toggles on the left.

have you checkout out the openoutpaint extension?

I've tried it and hated it, lol. It was awkward to use, overcomplicated, and didn't actually have any of the features i wanted other than a larger view.
