Is there an existing issue for this?

What would your feature do ?

I am sharing a screenshot here with the idea I have in mind.

I think the screenshot explains it all. I would love to get a feedback or improvements to this idea if any.

Thanks!

Too much UI bloat for me personally. I like Auto moving towards a less cluttered UI recently, and I'd like to continue in that trend.

That said, I don't understand what is being communicated in this screenshot. Something about embeddings? I recommend this extension for embeddings (you can disable the booru tags in it). It can list embeddings and fill them in as you type in the prompt. Not understanding the meaning of "category" box. Then again, I don't know why there are two Style drop down menus to begin with lol

Hey first of all thank you for your reply and also for this extension, is new for me and it look beneficial so I need to check it.

About my suggestion is just to do some order at the first place because as you said there are two drop down menus that are not needed as from what I see. only one box for style is ok.

My meaning was to use the same boxes just that one will be category and the second will be the styles but actually there is a better way to do it we can compress it even more to just one box in the sense of browser bookmarks, for example :

You click on the drop down menu then you see this
Category>style or Category>artist>style or whatever (exact like bookmarks on the browser) I hope it make sense.

my goal is as you said to minimize\optimize all the option to be 1 click comfort.

And by the way, if we put this idea together in an orderly way, then the programmer will be able to understand better and it be easier for them to do it. And that is also the goal. our ideas we propose should be clear as possible.

I think this is a good idea, since I have a lot of styles too (and I have them categorized in the file).

2 style drop-downs is useful for combining multiple styles, for example say I have a style called "women" which applies certain characteristics that I like for how pictures of women look, and another style called "midjourney-ish" which gives pictures a midjourney-like style, it's useful to be able to apply those separately or at the same time in various combinations (it even has different effects depending which is first and which is second)

I guess I get confused since the way I use it is:

As such, I never had a need for Style 2, since this method allows using as many styles as desired.

IanD-FM commented 1 year ago

Yeah I guess you could do that too, but then you can't switch between different styles quickly, trying out different combinations, you would have to keep deleting the style prompts.

I believe the idea I have brought here is simple. If anyone wants to suggest or change or upgrade feel free to say so

Extra networks UI pretty much does all this now. Closing.
