Does not compile with recent ESP32 SDK version #14

FYI,

The program does not compile (I believe some libraries are the problem) with the most recent ESP32 SDK versions. Manually downgrading to 1.0.5 makes it all work though..

Hello, thanks, but i do not find a problem here by using the named libraries named in the code and just retested it with the use of this script which downloads Arduino IDE and the required libraries for you automatically if you want to retest this too: https://github.com/AWSW-de/AWSW-WordClock-Windows-setup-script Just tested on a brand new machine.

As explained in the FAQ at Printables: Do not use the Arduino IDE library manager. Use the links named in the Code.ino on top or the linked script. Then it will work.

Kind regards and enjoy your WordClock. =)

Apologies, i've seemed to have version 2.x downloaded from some place. That one showed some issues. I'd printed all the parts unfortunately, then noticing v3 has a different layout :(

No worries. =)

just go for the 2024 model https://www.printables.com/de/model/749967-wordclock-16x8-2024

happy printing =)

Thanks, are the other code versions still downloadable from somewhere? I think I now have 2.6.4, not sure up till what version the 3d print match, the last code version I downloaded here seemed to have a totally different layout?

Layouts remain the same. You just need to look of you have the 16x8 or 16x16 model https://github.com/AWSW-de/WordClock-16x16-LED-matrix
