Potential Use Case: Donations to .NET OSS Maintainers #16

Ruby has a concept / project for this (still working on the name).

Why not start something different? We'd need to form a non-profit (or find someone, preferably outside of MS, who already has one) and source donations to distribute.

Seems big, but if we can model it off of existing communities, we may be able to pull it off.

(also if I'm missing something that already exists, please tell me).

Maybe opencollective.com could work, ReactiveUI (.Net cross platform MVVM framework) is using it to collect donations.
