A drupal based website that currently powers http://aamaadmiparty.org/, the "main" site. It is different from other AAP websites in drupal for primarily large scale email sending capabilities, among many other small things. (This website is a contender for merging with 'regional-domainsite-drupal' reposiroty when the latter is ready)

Setup a wildcard subdomain for AAP on GoDaddy #171
This has been done on GoDaddy with an A host entry that points to the AAP Drupal site load balancer IP (same as the mail site IP)
As a result of this -
any subdomain for which there is NO entry in DNS zone file + there is NO domain setting done on our apache webservers = will take us to the main AAP site. Eg = http://any-non-existent-subdomain.aamaadmiparty.org/
any subdomain for which there is NO entry in DNS zone file + but there is domain setting DONE on our apache webservers = will take us to the particular state website (same as main site with domain access taking over). Eg = http://tamil-nadu.aamaadmiparty.org/
any subdomain for which THERE IS entry in DNS zone file = will take us to the IP against the DNS zone file entry and the wildcard IP will be ignored. Eg = http://donate.aamaadmiparty.org/
Since we are running out of subdomains .. the best way to use FULL STATE NAME and create domain access basedp state sites is to use wildcard DNS setup .. details here .. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ape-project/-4xFDUPBjjk
