5 years ago I'm also noticing this issue with only 80 mods. With Optifine, it takes forever to load. Without, it's fine. The part it hangs on, is like, 2-3 pixels away from the end of the loading bar that pops up after the main menu flashes.
This is with everything completely up to date via twitch: Minecraft 1.14.4 Forge 28.1.87 OptiFine 1.14.4 HD U F4 UndergroundBiomes-1.14.4-1.0-53
Minecraft v1.14.4 Forge v28.1.6 UBC v1.0-53 Optifine vHD_U_F4-pre6, although pre7 was just released and is the only pre-version available.
Normally, my modpack of 200 mods loads in about 20 minutes or so on my laptop with Optifine. But as soon as I add UBC to my pack, the pack load time increases to over 3 hrs and then crashes. So something is going wrong, but I'm not sure what. Is this something that can be fixed or improved?
I have attached the log and crash report. Although the game crashed because it tried for such a long time to load the game and finally gave up. This is strange since UBC is the only mod that has this problem with optifine, but it could be related to the ore rendering of overlays. Thanks for any help!
