Playlist shuffle #17

Possible I can't find it and it is already there. Getting used to have it in Gelli, I am using my jellyfin mostly to just play random music. I would like to navigate into my music collection and hit a "just play something followed by something else until I say stop". In gelli, I have a list that is randomized each time I start gelli. Is this doable in jftui too?

Best regards for your work so far.

No, you're right: there's no way right now, but it is doable.

For a while I've been meaning to extend playlist features for jftui to bring them more in line with vanilla mpv's. That would include support for the playlist-shuffle command.

r as a jftui command is reserved for folder (recursive) enqueue (which I'll hopefully get around to before the Sun goes red giant :P ).

As björk would phrase it, "possibly maybe" :-D. r for recursive also makes sense. So either switch to s for shuffle (or surprise me^^), d for an intuitive "do me a favor" or add another menu entry. Or as you wrote, playlist-shuffle command.

Cheers, Stev
