Fred - Simple revision to make this new functionality more useful;
Allow markers to be set to current/cursor position 'on the fly'
Currently while file is playing, you can click SEGUE START, and this enables the counter (between POSITION and LENGTH counters) and shows the word SEGUE above it. Suggested new behavior (or something similar) is;
Click on the SEGUE label (or counter below it) and it sets the SEGUE START position to exactly where the current position cursor is (whether playing file or not). If file is playing, repeat clicking it just keeps updating the SEGUE START position to the current cursor position.
All markers should follow this behavior. What it allows is setting markers 'by ear' instead of visually. This is particularly handy alternative for the SEGUE START marker on fade ending songs where you are waiting to hear the end of a word/line in the lyrics and setting. Wait till you hear it, one click and its set there. Ideally long term, direct keyboard shortcuts could makes this faster still i.e. pressing SHIFT + HOME places SEGUE START marker at current current position, SHIFT + END sets the SEGUE END marker at the current cursor position etc.
