Hello, I am simply trying to find specific device names in the Google
Analytics(GA) dashboard and cannot seem to locate that data. I see the OS or
the Browser and OS but there seems to be no way to see the device.
If it is not stored anywhere in GA profiles then you would not be able to
export.
Is there a way you have see devices in the dashboard?
Regards,
Ray

Can you explain further? Your screenshot shows a variety of mobile device
names:
Apple iPad
Apple iPhone
...
Samsung Galaxy Tab
What device name is it you are looking for, if not that?

In the Google Analytics web interface under 'Standard Reporting' > 'Visitors' >
'Mobile' > 'Devices', you can see the 'Mobile Device Info', the 'Mobile Device
Branding', the 'Service Provider' ....
We want to have access to the 'Mobile Device Info' and the 'Mobile Device
Branding' through the Data Export API
(like we have access to the 'Operating System' with the 'ga:operatingSystem'
dimension).

Please note it is no longer possible to distinguish between different iOS
devices using the 'Operating System' metric.
All the iOS devices have now been combined and all use the 'Operating System'
'iOS' to identify them.
This means that this request is even more *important* as it is *not possible*
to query data based on traffic from 'iPads' for example as the 'Mobile Device
Info' dimension has not been exposed through the API, or custom segments.

Please add dimension in API to get data for Mobile device and underlying
telecom network

please consider moving this to a higher priority. In May 2012 Google stopped
distinguishing between iPhone, iPod, & iPad in the operating system variable
available in the api. Those are all lumped under iOS. Without access to the
device field I can no longer separate out iPad from iPhone thus I can't break
out tablets from mobile.
Thanks,
