Android & iOS Google Analytics SDKs should also support working over HTTPS #208

As a development team we would like to use Google Analytics in our mobile
applications.
As we develop mobile banking application the information we want to send via GA
is considered sensitive. However GA SDK does not support working over HTTPS
therefore exposing sensitive information to network sniffing vulnerabilities.

We would like to request that a HTTPS communications will be implemented in GA
mobile SDKs.

Thank you.

This is already possible. In fact, the Android SDK v2.0beta4 release notes from
01/08/2013 mention making HTTPS the new default
(https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/android/changelog)
, implying this was already possible before then.

"* Use HTTPS by default instead of HTTP."
