What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. follow the install on the pam-face-authentication.org wiki for ubuntu and GDM
2. setup LVM encryption and encrypt home directory
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the face screen to popup
just the "authentication failed"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
GDM 2.28
ubuntu 10.04
pam face 0.3

Please provide any additional information below.

the face fail thing again.. did exactly like in guide on website.. but i have 
LVM encryption and the home encrypted.. does that effect the startup and not 
letting it run? do i need to turn something on it let it run?

also just for kicks when installing and i log into gnome im not seeing it as an 
installed program!

ok is there something i have to do in LVM and the encryption to allow this to 
install or whatnot??? what can i do?

As there's no binary package for Ubuntu, it's clear that you don't seen 
pam-face installed.

no its installed lol..

if i do qt-facetrainer from command i can run the program.. 

the login thing does not work.. it freezes  and says cannot use pam face 
authentication.. (:  

so i know its installed with all the pre-req's according to site.. i think it 
has to do with the LVM encryption... there are other steps involved ???

i have the LVM encryption setup so when the computer boots up  you have to type 
in a password right after the bios before the computer boots into the the 
loading screen. I also have the home directory encrypted... is there something 
i have to disable/ install... i have been doing tests for over a week.. regular 
install without security= great... with these securities there is a MAJOr 
problem...

i was wondering what do i have to do to get it to work with this stuff turned 
on..

ah, just an idea:
The directory where your biometric profile is stored, might not yet be 
accessible?
Probably we could add this (fixed) path to the config file so that it is 
changable and you can login with your home directory encrypted...

I did ubuntu mini iso install with lvm encrypted install and home directory 
install everything else is per guide..

I am also having the same problem with my home DIR is encrypted too. Once I am 
logged in, and (for example) I need to login as root in terminal, everything 
works just great.

Is there a simple work around to this problem?
