We can use a camera to start, but as Raman is a weak signal we need a low-noise solution.
The best bet seems to be around the TCD1304 linear CCD. This should be easier to control than a standard camera plus we can cool it for longer exposure times.

We also need to sort out a Peltier cooling element for the CCD, and the coldfinger metal back element.
