Study combining RStudio version control with Hugo Academic theme and... #41

Open TahorSuiJuris opened 5 years ago

Love your tutorial version control and RStudio and Github.

It would be so wonderful if you created a similar tutorial including Hugo Academic theme with blogdown and Netlify or maybe RPubs inclusive of version control with Github.

Thank you.

I am trying to complete a project with MonetDBLite and Datatables to display in a RMarkdown document, all within Hugo Academic.

Hi @TahorSuiJuris, Thanks!

I had never heard of Academic before or blogdown. Looks really cool! Perhaps we should invite you to give a tutorial :-) Take a look @Kamouyiaraki @Anofia @CristianNa

I am using your tutorial TODAY as a skeleton and layout format (inclusive of your excellent teaching presentation) to incorporate PART 1 (which your tutorial Version Control with RStudio and GitHub) is actually PART 2).

PART 1 is being drafted from many tutorial sources (all differ) to arrive at a consistent and complete tutorial.

In addition, PART 1 shall also include a changed version of the following tutorial: https://www.zeolearn.com/magazine/develop-a-theme-for-hugo

PART 2 (your tutorial Version Control with RStudio and GitHub) You did not include submodules? https://aberdeenstudygroup.github.io/studyGroup/lessons/SG-T1-GitHubVersionControl/VersionControl/

Then PART 3 continues with expanding into creating RMarkdown documents with HTML widgets, and there is a PART 4...

JAMstack instructional material is really scattered and inconsistent all over the web, your Version Control tutorial is one of the few that is concise and clear.

Would your group be interested in taking part?

FrancescaMancini commented 5 years ago

I would :-) But unfortunately I have moved on and am no longer actively involved in this group. You should ping @Kamouyiaraki @Anofia @CristianNa to discuss any collaboration opportunity.

Thank you, shall do.

Hi,

That's great that you've found our resources useful! We're definitely keen to expand on what's already there and you've got some great ideas. I think it would be great to re-host the tutorial in the future with added parts to it. Let us know how we can help/participate!

Maria

Great Maria,

Have an exact idea of what would be appropriate and intuitive. What is your schedule?
