Hi there
I have a APM2.0 running a HobbyKing 666mm frame. 1000Kva motors with 12" props.
2200,ah 3s 11.1v Li-Po.
I am having the same issue as the reader above..
After upgrading the APM firmware 2 releases ago the right rear motor stopped
mid flight and caused a very unwanted crash.
All repaired and replaced now.
No joy with the new release
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank You

Does the issue still occur with more than 8 satellites seen?

I'm have this issue with more than 11 satellites.
I fixed my quadrotor and test it again.
It fly ok with a little move to right-rear direction and it flip suddenly while
tuning throttle hold KP, and i lost 1 motor and my aircraft need over-halt fix.
So, Now i need to downgrade firmware, How to do?
Thanks for every mentions.

"65xxx>0" is distance to current waypoint / current waypoint number

Seems a similar problem to what I am having with one motor just slowing down
and stopping. As soon as I apply throttle it starts again only to slow down and
stop again.

after this issue happened. I try...
1. Calibration A/C only motor+arm+controller on level>>>>not fix my issue
2. Make right-rear of controller lower than other side>>>>not fix my issue
3. Adjust stabilize gain (stabilize KP,KI and Roll KP,KI)>>>>not fix my issue
Now, I have no idea what should i do?
Note: My A/C can fly in stabilize mode by move stick for a little trim it to
level fly

Swop motors and ESC to opposite arm, see if problem occurs in same direction?

@designstudioyear4,
I think the issue is that your THR_MIN is too low or you haven't calibrated your ESCs. What is likely happening is that your copter is on the ground and there's a small amount of heading drift (this is normal). the APM is trying to correct this by yawing but it can't because the copter is sitting on the ground. To yaw it will incraese the speed of two motors and decrease the speed of another two. So that problem motor is one of the two that is slowing down. Normally it wouldn't stop except that the THR_MIN value is below what it requires to keep the motor running.
So can you try increasing the THR_MIN from the default of 130? Try 150 maybe...or recalibrate your ESCs.

Thank you for all advances,
few hours ago i did...
1. Re-calibrated ESC ==>Not fix
2. Swop Right-rear and Left-Front (ESC+Motor)==>the Left-Front is slow and my
copter move forward left
So, I think my ESC is the reason of this issue and i will change that one.
i will post the result if it fixed.
Thank you all,

I change a new ESC but it still move to left forward direction.
I will change a new motor.
When i fly it two rear motors stop, but a bit luck to me. It stop while i fly 1
foot altitude. So my copter is ok.

I changed a new motor >>> not fix
THR_MIN = 150 >>>>>>>> not fix
I check APM alignment it seems heading to 355-357 degree.

It's hard to be sure without seeing it (i.e. a video would help) but the copter
moving forward-left is likely not a motor or ESC issue. Have you tried
autotrim to correct for slightly off center of gravity?
http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2_AutoTrim
Also please remember that the copter will never completely stop like an AR
Parrot drone. An AR Parrot uses a camera facing downwards to stop it's
horizontal movement and a sonar to stop it's vertical movement.
Way, can you download the dataflash logs and PM or email me? If possible
please turn on the MOTOR data logging. go to the MP's terminal window, type
"logs", "enable MOTOR". then go fly and you should be able to download the
logs after your flight.

way,
congrats, that's looking pretty good. i guess you're a bit of a novice pilot still but with a bit more practice you'll be able to fly it like other people do in their videos.

Thank you rmackay,
I'm newbie for RC , But i expect it can fly stabilize while i release my fingers from control sticks.
I tried using altitude hold but it sometimes fly higher sometimes touch the
ground.
i don't like that fly. So i will adjust a throttle hold gain.
Thank you for all reply.

Way,
Try bumping up the Throttle Rate from 0.300 to 0.330. Also if you're using a 2.5 and it's not in a case, make sure that your barometer is covered by a piece of foam or felt to protect it from the wind. If you've got an APM 2.0 which has a daughterboard on the top then that board provides a good bit of protection.
