Does https://github.com/tmcdonell/codespeed/tree/accelerate represent the most up to date work? I don't know much python either, but advertising the github repo and encouraging pull requests might get some more traction.

Yes, that is the repo. It is a clone of what nomeata is using for ghc (https://github.com/nomeata/codespeed/tree/ghc).
We need to set up some kind of performance regression testing.
