exploring options of using optane based SKU for our in-memory database platform. Out current platform currently uses on HIgh memory Xeon 2600 series servers in a scale out distributed cluster fashion.

We are a search driven BI/analytics company with our own in-memory database and we are interested in exploring options of having large amounts of memory packed into one node. hence want to explore this Intel technology offering. Would run perf testing on this SKU using our test workloads.

Are you interested in testing Intel Optane SSDs with Intel Memory Drive Technology (IMDT)?
Yes
IMDT extends system memory transparently by integrating Intel Optane SSD capacity into the memory subsystem. The systems provided have 192GB of DRAM but can be enabled with 1.47TB of software-defined memory while leaving one Intel Optane SSD still available for fast storage/caching usage.
