Bug: "Out of stories" message is inconsistent with sign in state #293

Tested with dev pre-1.0.0 (d615878331c9d3f29df1df4747e60a270e964359 certainly).

How to reproduce: Sign-in (with Google). Use your two stories. Go to "New Story" again.

The error message mentions "Make sure to sign-in..." and provides a button to "Sign In". These should not be displayed. BTW: if we try to complete the process by signing in with Google, the app hangs.
