Thank you for shadowsocks-asuswrt-merlin, it helped me to create SS tunnel on my ASUS router easily. I have a question: as I'm outside China and I don't need to pass through GFW, just SS tunnel, does it mean I can delete some DNS servers from unbound config and some DNS lists? Do I really need a caching DNS server? What is the better way to adapt your scripts for using in Europe?

If you use this tool just for SS tunnel, maybe you can set mode to 2 which means all traffic will pass shadowsocks: https://github.com/Acris/shadowsocks-asuswrt-merlin/blob/master/etc/ss-merlin.sample.conf#L5
