Article and image links contained non-URL characters in the query string, which caused "error -10" in NCSA Mosaic 1.0 on Windows 3.1. Apparently Mosaic was stricter about URL encoding than later browsers. Added URL encoding and corresponding decoding for article and image links. Now I can read the news on my 386!
