Hi guys! I missed the app in main F-droid repo, so I added it to my own: fdroid.rakshazi.me

Source code: https://gitlab.com/rakshazi/fdroid

ErikBjare commented 4 years ago

@rakshazi Nice! It'll come in handy when I'm submitting it to the main F-droid repo :)

ErikBjare commented 4 years ago

I added a merge request to the fdroiddata repo: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/merge_requests/5502

Hopefully someone will help us fix the final issues to make it ready for inclusion in the main F-droid repo!

Hi @ErikBjare F-droid waiting for your changes in https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/merge_requests/5502

Hi!

A friend recommended ActivityWatch to me just a few weeks ago - so far, I like it a lot. Today i found out, that I can install it on android as well, but also that you still have some problems submitting it to the official f-droid repos.

I'd like to help! :D (with the submitting on f-droid as well as the whole application in general)

... never published an app on f-droid and have just a little experience with development of android apps, though. Can you recommend me some good introductory videos / material, in order to get started with the f-droid related problems? That's something I wanted to dig into, anyways :D

Looking forward for your answers!

@TheRealMephisto The links already mentioned in the thread should be a good start. Let us know how your work goes!

https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/merge_requests/11786 I opened an MR. @ErikBjare Could you please take a look?

Haze-sh commented 1 year ago

I think this should be prioritized.

RageGamerBoi commented 8 months ago

If you need to, you can look into adding it to the IzzyOnDroid repo as a temporary stopgap measure until somebody has time to work on submitting it to the official F-Droid repo. https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/info

Make sure to prioritize actually adding it to the official F-Droid repo though. Some apps perpetually stay on IzzyOnDroid limiting their availability to the average F-Droid user.

Edit: It actually already is on IzzyOnDroid, problem is, it hasn’t been updated since 2020. https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/net.activitywatch.android Also still make sure to get it in the official repo as soon as possible.

@ErikBjare I just noticed that you add help wanted label which makes me confused. What kind of help do you need? The MR in fdroiddata had been ready and you just need to test the apk.

konradmoesch commented 6 days ago

Whats the status on this? I can see the MR by @linsui, but it was closed in 11/2022 because of a missing response by upstream. Do you need help testing the apk? Are there some issues in packaging? Maybe I can help, I have packaged some apps in my own fdroid repo in the past. Or is it simply a missing response/feedback by @ErikBjare and no other issues in packaging etc?

Sorry about not prioritizing this, I've been a bit traumatized by my first attempt that went nowhere (https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/merge_requests/5502) as it had multiple tricky issues.

The PR by @linsui looks good, not sure why it couldn't be merged without my input. I left a comment: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/merge_requests/11786

@konradmoesch Feel free to make a new PR based on the one by @linsui (just make sure to give Co-Authored-By: credit in the commit msg).

We don't want to maintain a package without help from upstream. :) And our build is so much smaller than yours. I don't know if anything went wrong. So you'll help me this time, right?

ErikBjare commented 5 days ago

I'll try :)
